Students in Years 8 & 9 follow an enrichment programme for 1 period a week.  This takes place on a Friday afternoon P5.

The aims of the enrichment programme are as follows:

  • to broaden students’ learning experiences by offering activities that are not offered in the mainstream curriculum
  • to develop students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding, including the development of their leadership skills
  • to develop students’ interests and talents

We aim to recognise achievements in Enrichment activities through certification wherever possible.

Some of the courses offered will be full-year courses, others will be termly courses. At the start of each term, students choose the course they would like to follow.  We will implement a system to ensure that all students follow a range of courses across the year.
