Between now and the Summer holidays, Year 12 students will start looking into Post-18 options. In PSHE, we will show students how to log on to UCAS and will help them to start filling in their UCAS application for University. All Year 12 students will also benefit from guidance in writing their Personal Statements during PSHE. Of course not all students will choose to move on to university, therefore, we will target those students and provide them with information about other options which we will then explore in greater depth during the Autumn Term. We urge all students to start attending University Open Days now as they will be applying for their places in the Autumn Term. Further information can be found on the following link: https://www.ucas.com/ucas/events/find/type/open-day
Year 12 students may want to start thinking about looking at University Open Days and deciding which universities they would like to visit. More information on Open Days can be found on the following website:
If students wish to attend a University Open Day during the week, we are happy to authorise this absence. Students must simply complete a green absence form and show us their booking confirmation for the event.
Year 13 students have recently had an assembly to advise them on how to make their firm and insurance choices for University. Here are some links to two useful websites which offer further guidance:
If students wish to discuss their options further, we encourage them to talk to a member of the Sixth Form Team.
1/3 Important message for parents – your child needs a face mask in school. From Monday 2nd November, students will be required to wear face masks in special areas. These spaces include corridors and dining hall queues.
We are looking for new candidates to join our Local Governing Body at multiple schools within the Trust. If this is of interest, please email Sam Hollingsworth on Sam.Hollingsworth@twocountiestrust.co.uk
