Registration

Registration  lasts for 15 minutes each day and starts at the beginning of the school day at 9.00am. Students are expected to attend an assembly during this period once a week, however during the rest of the week, they may use this time to meet one-to-one with their Tutor. Students must ensure that they register with the Senior Learning and Careers Mentor in the Study Area.

DILPs (Directed Independent Learning Periods)

In order to assist our Year 12 with their independent study, they have three or four periods on their timetable which are dedicated to DILPS (Directed Independent Study Periods). During these sessions, students must register with the Senior Learning and Careers Mentor, and they must ensure that they complete work set by their Subject Teacher in the Study Area.

Independent Study Periods

All Sixth Form Students have Independent Study Periods on their timetable. It is essential that these Study Periods are used effectively.

PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education)

All students at Swanwick Hall Sixth Form have a one hour PSHE lesson each week. During these lessons students are educated on a variety of topics in order to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepare for life and work in modern Britain.
